Turkey burgers aren’t my favorite things, but when smothered in spinach and swiss and served on a toasted English muffin, they were palatable.
I spent most of Sunday afternoon watching the pot as these lamb shanks braised. Culinary Chick has the step by steps. This recipe came out great. The lamb shanks were $6 a piece so I’d say the total meal came in under $10 / plate.
The best part? Nora doesn’t eat lamb, so I get the other shank tomorrow.
My sister and her husband come up every year for St Pattys day. It’s become the tradition that she makes the corned beef and cabbage for dinner.
This year, they augmented dinner with her husband’s first batch of home brew, an Irish Stout.
We’re working our way through the last of our CSA share. The yellow puree is “Sweet Dumpling Winter Squash” and the potatoes are I think “German Butterball”.
Justine Denison was right, the squash were the best of all winter squash!
The chicken was stuffed with sauteed spinach and sauteed.
